Our ASME Pressure Vessel Stamps

IHT currently holds the following ASME pressure vessel stamps:

• U Stamp: The U stamp designation means that we meet the requirements put forth in the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, and are therefore allowed to design, fabricate, inspect, and test unfired pressure vessels. We undergo routine inspections in order to maintain our U stamp certification. 

• UM Stamp: The UM stamp designation is for unfired pressure vessels that fall into the “miniature” category. We maintain this stamp in addition to our U stamp. 

• R Stamp: The R stamp is granted by The NBBI (National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors). It gives us license to repair and alter pressure-retaining equipment such as pressure vessels and boilers. In order to retain our R stamp, we must meet a variety of requirements, such as making sure our quality system is NBIC (National Board Inspection Code) compliant, having an inspection agreement with an NBBI authorized inspection agency, and keeping a complete copy of the current edition of the NBIC on hand.
